Zelensky: Ukraine-Russia Talks Await US, Allies’ Consensus

Read Time:44 Second

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on Friday that negotiations with Russia are not yet possible until Ukraine aligns its position with the United States and its allies. Speaking at the Munich Security Conference, Zelensky emphasized the need for a unified stance on addressing Russian President Vladimir Putin’s threat. He also noted that former U.S. President Donald Trump lacks a finalized plan to end the war.

Zelensky expressed readiness to engage with Russia only after receiving concrete answers from the U.S. and allies regarding Ukraine’s demands. Meanwhile, Ukrainian Presidential Office Chief Andriy Yermak met with White House envoy General Keith Kellogg at the conference, describing the discussions as “very good.” Yermak also hinted at Kellogg’s upcoming visit to Ukraine, signaling continued U.S. support.

As the conflict persists, Ukraine remains focused on securing international backing before entering any negotiations with Russia.
