Former U.S. President Donald Trump has sharply criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, calling him a “dictator without elections” after Ukraine was left out of recent peace negotiations with Russia.
In a statement on TRUTH Social, Trump claimed that Zelenskyy must “move fast” or risk losing control of his country. He also asserted that only his administration could successfully negotiate an end to the war with Russia.
Trump’s remarks come amid ongoing diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict and highlight increasing tensions between him and Zelenskyy over Ukraine’s governance since the Russian invasion.
Meanwhile, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent addressed the issue in an interview, discussing his meeting with Zelenskyy, the U.S. economy, and the Trump administration’s trade policies.
Ukraine has not issued an official response, but the ongoing rift between Kyiv and Trump continues to deepen.
