A train incident in Powys, Wales has caused significant transport disruptions. The event, which occurred near Talerddig, has led to the closure of rail lines between Machynlleth and Caersws, as well as the shutdown of the A470 road.
Local authorities received initial reports at 19:34 BST, prompting a large-scale emergency response. Eyewitnesses noted the presence of various emergency vehicles, including ambulances and fire engines, as well as a coastguard helicopter.
The British Transport Police is currently heading the investigation into the incident. Meanwhile, Transport for Wales (TfW) has suspended all train services between Shrewsbury and Aberystwyth, implementing replacement bus services instead.
