Across Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas, thunderstorms are expected to strengthen late on Thursday into the midnight hours. Almost 9 million people in the central and southern Plains are at Level 2 out of 5 risk for severe weather.

Certain cities, like Dallas, Plano, and Garland, are at a Level 1 risk, while other cities, like Fort Worth, Arlington, Irving, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and Wichita, are at heightened risk.

Thursday is predicted to be the most dangerous day due to hail, while Friday will bring a wider risk of damaging winds, hail, and isolated tornadoes throughout the Southeast, including South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and Alabama.

For Friday and Saturday, there is a flood watch in effect for central Alabama as well as North and Middle Georgia due to the possibility of severe rains overwhelming the already saturated land.

Parts of Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina will continue to be at risk from severe weather on Saturday until the storm system moves offshore on Sunday, bringing with it breezy conditions. Keep checking back for updates, and remember to take the appropriate safety precautions.
