Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has firmly rejected U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposal for a new nuclear deal, accusing the U.S. of bullying tactics. Speaking to Iranian officials, Khamenei criticized the U.S. for using negotiations as a tool to impose demands and dominate Iran.
“Some bully governments insist on negotiations not to resolve issues but to enforce their expectations,” Khamenei stated, as reported by state media. He emphasized that Iran would not accept new U.S. demands, calling the approach a means to further restrict Iran’s nuclear program.
The rejection follows a letter from the U.S. administration seeking renewed talks. Since returning to office, Trump has maintained an aggressive stance toward Iran while expressing a desire to renegotiate the 2015 nuclear deal. Tensions between the two nations continue to escalate, with Iran standing firm against perceived U.S. pressure.
