Parts of the United Kingdom can expect cold temperatures tonight and tomorrow as Arctic air moves in, potentially bringing snow to higher elevations. Northern England and Scotland are expected to shiver with lows of -3 °C.
The Met Office warns of frost in some regions, blaming the chill on northerly winds from the Arctic. While temperatures may fall below April averages, meteorologist Ellie Glaisyer says the cold weather is not exceptional.
However, the cold will not last long. By the weekend, temperatures are forecast to return to seasonal norms. Nonetheless, the southern United Kingdom confronts another challenge with heavy rain and probable thunderstorms.
Stay tuned for updates as the weather changes throughout the region.
