The Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens have combined to donate $10 million to the Maryland Tough Baltimore Strong Key Bridge Fund of the Baltimore town Foundation, demonstrating a tremendous display of support and togetherness for their town.

This fund was created in the wake of the horrific events that occurred on March 26 at the Francis Scott Key Bridge. Its purpose is to support the efforts of families, first responders, port workers, small businesses, and the affected communities to recover and become resilient.

Owner of the Ravens Steve Bisciotti offered the victims and their families his sincere condolences while lauding the bravery and commitment of the first responders. He reaffirmed Baltimore and Maryland’s resiliency in the face of adversity and highlighted the Ravens’ dedication to helping those impacted by the tragedy.

Owner of the Orioles David M. Rubenstein echoed these ideas, emphasizing the tenacity of the city and the value of helping people who maintain its vibrancy. Both groups have united to offer significant assistance for the recovery operations, spearheaded by Governor Wes Moore.

This generosity is facilitated by the Baltimore Community Foundation, which has a long history of working to raise the standard of living in the Baltimore area. With more than $255 million in assets and a track record of significant grantmaking since its founding in 1972, BCF is a mainstay of the local philanthropic scene.

Furthermore, BCF’s commitment to promoting equity and inclusion in the community is demonstrated by its efforts to address racial inequities and eliminate structural racism.

Donations to the relief operations for the Key Bridge can be given via the website of the Baltimore Community Foundation.

The major gift from the Ravens and Orioles affirms the resiliency and strength of the Baltimore community and serves as an example of the strength and solidarity that can be found during difficult times.
