Apple Intelligence might not be prepared for the initial releases of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18, as reported by Mark Gurman of Bloomberg. Apple Intelligence, the much awaited AI feature set, is now projected to debut with October’s release of iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1.

Apple Intelligence will not be included in the September public releases of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18. But beta versions, which should be released this week, will be available to developers early.

Apple Intelligence won’t be available in its entirety at first. A few features, including the AI-powered Siri, could not be available until later in the year. Gurman speculates that these changes could continue throughout the upcoming year.

Compatibility is still another important factor. With the exception of the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, all recent iPhone models are not compatible with Apple Intelligence as it requires smartphones with an A17 Pro CPU or M-series chip.

Apple’s deliberate approach to incorporating cutting-edge AI technologies and making sure they function flawlessly across their newest hardware is demonstrated by this phased release. It might be necessary for users of older devices to upgrade in order to fully utilize Apple Intelligence.

As Apple continues to develop and distribute its revolutionary AI technology, which promises to greatly improve user experience, stay tuned for further updates.
