Ukraine has dealt a significant blow to Russia’s military capabilities by launching precision strikes on vital targets in the Lipetsk region. The Ukrainian General Staff reports successful attacks on the Sverdlov plant, a major producer of chemical components for artillery shells and aerial bombs. This facility, which has been under Western sanctions since Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine, is crucial to Russia’s war effort.
Additionally, Ukrainian forces reportedly caused a fire at a military airfield in Lipetsk, further compromising Russian military infrastructure. While the full impact of these strikes is still being assessed, they demonstrate Ukraine’s increasing ability to conduct long-range attacks deep within Russian territory.
The conflict’s intensity is evident in other areas as well. In the Nizhny Novgorod region, local officials reported that four firefighters sustained minor shrapnel injuries during a separate drone attack.
