Ukraine Rejects Territorial Concessions, Seeks Peace Guarantees

Read Time:54 Second

Ukraine has firmly ruled out ceding any territories to Russia, Prime Minister Denys Chmyhal announced during a press conference. Emphasizing Ukraine’s sovereignty, he stated, “Ukraine is a sovereign and independent country whose borders are recognized by the international community. We do not and cannot discuss territorial losses.”

Despite the ongoing conflict, Ukraine is open to discussing a multi-stage peace plan to resolve the crisis. However, Chmyhal stressed the need for robust security guarantees from global powers, including the U.S., Europe, and G7 nations, to prevent future aggression from Russia.

“We need concrete security guarantees. This is of existential importance not only for Ukraine but also for the European Union,” he added. The statement underscores Ukraine’s commitment to preserving its territorial integrity while seeking international support to ensure long-term stability.

As the war continues, Ukraine’s stance highlights its determination to defend its sovereignty while advocating for a peaceful resolution backed by global allies. The international community’s response to these demands will play a critical role in shaping the future of the region.
