Trump Rules Out Another Debate with Kamala Harris Before the Election.

Read Time:2 Minute, 46 Second

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has officially said that he will not be taking part in another discussion with Kamala Harris, the candidate he was running against. The news comes just a few days after their much-anticipated TV discussion, which was watched by over 67 million people. Despite the fact that many polls show Harris won the first debate, Trump has strongly denied this story.

For his part, Trump talked about the problem on his Truth Social page on Thursday, saying that he and Harris would not be debating each other again before the election. “THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE!” In his letter, Trump talked about both the latest discussion with Harris and the one he had with Joe Biden in June. Even though polls showed a different result, he claimed both wins.

Trump’s Response to the Poll Results

Trump, who is known for being stubborn, said that polls that showed Harris as the winner were wrong. When he went up against the Vice President in the debate on ABC, he said it was a win for him. “Polls clearly show that I won the debate against Comrade Kamala Harris,” Trump said, ignoring polls like the Reuters/Ipsos study that found 53% of people thought Harris did better than Trump and only 24% thought Trump won.

However, Democrats have since dared Trump to a repeat. In response, Trump compared himself to a winner who doesn’t want to give a loser a second chance. Trump made a joke that when a prizefighter loses a fight, the first thing he says is, “I WANT A REMATCH.” He meant that Harris’s calls for another debate are related to her loss.

Running campaigns in key battleground states

Trump and Harris are both back to campaigning in swing states that will play a big role in choosing who wins the election. Trump told his fans in Tucson, Arizona, about new tax cuts. One plan would be to stop taxing overtime pay, which is meant to appeal to voters from the middle class. He also supported a plan to stop taxing tips for people who work in the restaurant business, which Harris later included in her own platform.

Harris, on the other hand, wants another discussion. At a rally in Charlotte, North Carolina, she told her fans, “Two nights ago Donald Trump and I had our first debate, and I think we owe it to the voters to have another.” Harris talked about how important the upcoming election was and said that Americans needed more information about policy views.

Harris Picks Up Speed

During the first discussion, there were several heated moments. For example, Harris was able to get Trump to get angry about important topics. People think that Harris’s ability to avoid some policy questions while putting Trump on the defensive helped her gain ground in the polls.

During the debate, Trump also got flak for making repeated claims that were not supported by evidence. For example, he made a strange claim about Haitian refugees in Ohio that was quickly debunked by the moderators.

The race for president is getting tougher, and it’s not clear how both candidates will plan their campaigns in the last few weeks before the election in November. One thing is for sure, though: Trump and Harris will not be debating again.
