Travel chaos as a major UK motorway is closed due to a “police incident” (M1 Traffic LIVE).

Due to a “police incident,” a major UK road has been closed, causing traffic mayhem and leaving vehicles stuck.

Details of the incident:

• Location: Bedfordshire’s M1 southbound
• Closure Points: J11 (Dunstable) and J12 (Toddington)
• Duration: Without food or drink, drivers have been stranded in traffic lines for six hours.

Bedfordshire Police are among the emergency services present at the location. Additionally supporting traffic management are National Highways Traffic Officers.

Statement from Bedfordshire Police: “The M1 northbound slip road (J11a) is remains closed between J11 and J12. We stay at the location where a vulnerable person was involved in an incident. Drivers are asked to look for alternate routes and to only use our phone lines for non-emergency calls. I’m grateful.
