A person has been arrested in connection with a possible attempt on the life of Trump
Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, has been named as the person who may have tried to kill former President Donald Trump on his Florida golf course. Secret Service officers caught Routh after noticing strange behavior near Trump International Golf Club. This caused police to move right away. Two months before the arrest, there was another attempt on Trump’s life at a gathering in Butler, Pennsylvania. This made people even more worried about the former president’s safety.
The Event Takes Place
Secret Service agents at the Trump International Golf Club saw what looked like a gun barrel sticking out of some trees on Sunday afternoon. This was the start of the incident. The area was being watched, which was about two holes ahead of where Trump was playing at the time. Along with a bag, a GoPro camera and an AK-47-style weapon were found left behind near the scene.
Sheriff William D. Snyder of Martin County says that Routh was calm and didn’t show much reaction when he was taken. Sheriff Snyder said the individual did not fight or argue with being held.
