Salesforce to Add 1,000 Workers for AI Sales Expansion

Read Time:1 Minute, 0 Second

Salesforce, a leader in customer relationship management software, is set to hire 1,000 employees to support the sales of its new AI product, Agentforce. CEO Marc Benioff shared that this move comes as a response to the “incredible momentum” surrounding the recently launched AI tool. Although Agentforce became available only two weeks ago, it has already received strong customer feedback.

The launch of Agentforce marks a shift in Salesforce’s strategy toward AI, focusing on autonomous agents that handle tasks such as customer service and sales without human supervision. The product, introduced last month, is priced at about $2 per automated interaction. Salesforce is now competing with other companies like ServiceNow and Microsoft, which are also exploring AI-powered agents.

This hiring surge follows a period of job cuts and efforts to reduce sales expenses in the past two years, as Salesforce pushed customers toward self-service options. According to a recent filing, the company had 72,682 employees as of January.

On the back of this announcement, Salesforce’s stock rose 2.5%, hitting a record high of $322.81, continuing an 18% increase in value this year. The hiring boost highlights Salesforce’s commitment to dominating the growing AI market.
