Putin Rejects British Intelligence Chief’s Allegations

Read Time:40 Second

During the BRICS summit’s final day in Kazan, Russian President Vladimir Putin strongly disputed accusations made by MI5 Director Ken McCallum regarding Russia’s role in European destabilization. Putin characterized McCallum’s statements as “nonsense” and redirected blame toward European governments for any regional instability.

The dispute arose after McCallum alleged Russian involvement in various disruptive activities across Europe, including “arson, sabotage, and much more.” In response, Putin suggested these claims were merely diversionary tactics to shift attention from internal challenges facing the UK and European nations.

Meanwhile, the BRICS alliance demonstrated its expanding influence by extending membership invitations to Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia. The organization’s growing appeal was further evidenced by formal membership applications from Malaysia, Turkey, and Azerbaijan, highlighting BRICS’s emergence as a significant player in global economics and politics.
