In a recent development, MSNBC anchor and former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki has come to the defense of President Joe Biden’s debate preparation team following widespread criticism of his performance last week. Psaki took to social media platform X to address the issue, calling it “absurd” to blame the prep team for the president’s lackluster debate.
“It was a bad debate. I have no doubt they were tough, strategic and direct.
But preparation doesn’t always equal success (trust me, I’ve seen them in action),” Psaki said. “Biden wasn’t good. Talks about what comes next that are important. However, you are not speaking about the appropriate topics if you are angry with “prep.”
Senior Biden advisor Ron Klain, who was instrumental in getting the president ready for the debate, simply said “thank you” to Psaki.
A substantial debate about Biden’s prospects as the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee has been sparked by his performance.
A blame game has also been triggered by the argument, with different groups blaming Biden, his staff, the president’s family, and the media.
Speaking on his performance at a Raleigh, North Carolina, campaign rally, Biden took note of the criticisms but underlined the significance of the larger effort to unseat former President Trump.
“People, I can’t walk as comfortably as I used to.” My speech isn’t as fluid as it once was.
I’m not as good at debating as I used to be,” Biden said. But I’m aware of what I am aware of. I am capable of speaking the truth. I am aware of right and wrong. I am also capable of doing this task. I’m capable at finishing tasks. And I am aware of what millions of Americans already know: you always get back up after being knocked down.
