A consortium of tech giants has announced Project Stargate, a $500 billion artificial intelligence initiative unveiled by former President Donald Trump. The venture unites OpenAI, Oracle, and SoftBank in an ambitious effort to advance artificial general intelligence (AGI) through massive infrastructure development.
At its core, Project Stargate focuses on building extensive data center networks to power next-generation AI systems. Oracle plans to construct 10 new facilities in Texas, while OpenAI will lead research and development efforts. SoftBank has committed $100 billion in funding, with additional support from tech partners including Nvidia, Microsoft, and Arm.
