Police Release New Statement Regarding Scottish Independence Rally Incident

Police Scotland has released a fresh statement in response to the recent incident at a Scottish independence rally, when a 20-year-old man was charged with drug-related and traffic charges after a video of a car driving towards protesters went viral.

Police Scotland stated in their most recent statement that following a thorough investigation, they have not discovered any evidence suggesting a direct connection between the person who was arrested and the march. The suspect, who is 20 years old, has been freed and is expected to appear in court later. The Procurator Fiscal has received a report on the incident.

Fortunately, the incident resulted in no injuries to law enforcement personnel or members of the public.

First Minister Humza Yousaf has also responded to the incident, however specifics of his remarks have not yet been made public.
