The PSNI is investigating a serious assault that occurred on Lecky Road in Londonderry during the early hours of Sunday morning. A woman in her 50s required hospital treatment after being attacked in an alleyway by an unknown assailant.
The victim received medical attention for facial injuries following what police have described as a “terrifying ordeal.” She was able to seek help immediately after the incident.
Police are seeking a suspect described as a white male with a broad build and dark hair, last seen wearing a short puffer jacket and light-colored trainers. The PSNI is appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant information to come forward as part of their ongoing investigation.
