Police in Norfolk Are Under Investigation for Presumptively Not Responding to a Distress Call

Following allegations that they did not respond to a 999 emergency call from a home where a man and his two daughters were subsequently discovered dead, Norfolk Police are coming under heavy fire. Barlomiej Kuczynski, who lived at the home with his wife Nanthaka, has been identified as the man. Police have not yet formally confirmed the identities of the murdered girls, despite the fact that it is thought they are his daughters.

Just before seven in the morning on Friday, a member of the public notified authorities, prompting the startling discovery. It has been disclosed, meanwhile, that an hour before the upsetting event transpired, at 6 am, the police apparently disregarded a previous contact from a guy at the same location.

This information comes after Norfolk Police self-referred a matter involving police interaction connected to a missing person investigation at the same site last month to the Independent Office for Police Conduct on Friday. A spokesperson for the police said, “A second referral has been made today (20 January) following the identification of a 999 call made yesterday morning at 6 am by a man at the address, and police resources were not deployed.”

The four people discovered deceased are said to be members of the same family; three of them are long-term residents of the address, while the fourth is said to as a “non-permanent” inhabitant. The terrible occurrence has left the local community in shock and sadness.

A police cordon is still in place at the Queen’s Hill estate, where Norfolk Police have sent uniformed officers. Detectives are still questioning people in each home, talking to witnesses, and looking at local CCTV footage as part of their ongoing forensic investigations within the residence.

The Norfolk and Suffolk major investigation team’s Detective Chief Inspector Chris Burgess thanked the locals for their support. He said, “While we’re still piecing together what’s happened, at this stage, we remain satisfied that this is an isolated incident.” All four people will have post-mortem exams to ascertain the cause of death.

Detective Chief Inspector Burgess cautioned against conjecture, stressing that the woman discovered among the dead was a temporary inhabitant, while formal identification is still awaited. While investigators try to piece together the circumstances behind this horrific incident, the community is still on edge.
