North Korea is reportedly supplying Russia with missiles and artillery ammunition to aid its military operations in Ukraine, according to Andrii Chernyak of Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence Service. Russian forces have already used around 60 North Korean KN-23 missiles, though their outdated technology compromises accuracy. Additionally, millions of artillery shells from North Korea are being shipped to Russia, posing a significant threat to Ukraine.
Chernyak emphasized that Ukraine is closely monitoring these shipments, which include containers potentially filled with North Korean-produced munitions. Despite Russia’s vast military resources, it increasingly depends on North Korean supplies to sustain its war efforts.
This development follows a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement signed earlier this summer between Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, pledging mutual support in case of aggression. The growing military collaboration between the two nations raises concerns about escalating conflict and regional instability.
