Vice President Kamala Harris recently spoke to the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) and stressed how important it was to get the votes of Black men through good economic policies. Harris told it like it was: “Black men are like any other voting group.” You have to earn their vote.” She didn’t believe that Black men would instantly back her because they were of the same race, which showed how important it is to have policies that meet their unique needs.
Harris went into more detail about her long-term focus on economic possibilities for Black men, mentioning her “Economic Opportunity Tour” that was meant to improve their chances of making money. She talked about important measures that would get rid of systemic hurdles, make more jobs available, and help Black neighborhoods get rich.
Harris ended by saying that she was committed to helping all neighborhoods. This made it clear that her policies and plan are meant to help all Americans, not just certain groups of voters. As the election for 2024 gets closer, Harris’s efforts to get Black male voters to support her are still very important to her campaign.
