Italians Demand Peace for Gaza, Ukraine

Read Time:35 Second

On Saturday, tens of thousands rallied across Italian cities, advocating for peace in Gaza and Ukraine. Approximately 10,000 participants marched through Rome’s city center, carrying a large peace flag by the Colosseum. The event was coordinated by the Italian Disarmament Network, the CGIL labor union, and various peace organizations, emphasizing rising concerns over civilian casualties in both regions.

Protesters called on the Italian government and the international community to launch a peace conference under the United Nations. Additional rallies took place in Turin, Milan, Florence, Bari, Palermo, and Cagliari, with hundreds of peace groups lending their support. These demonstrations occurred as violence escalates in the Middle East, with intensified overnight attacks from Israel.
