Hunter Biden has rekindled his legal battle with Fox News, alleging the network violated laws by showcasing explicit images of him in their Fox Nation streaming series, “The Trial of Hunter Biden.” The lawsuit, initially filed in New York last July but withdrawn three weeks later, was resubmitted on Tuesday in a Manhattan state court.
The legal action accuses Fox News of breaching New York’s revenge porn legislation by disseminating intimate images of Biden without his permission. This renewed lawsuit now includes two Fox executives as defendants. Biden’s legal representative, Tina Glandian, has not offered any explanation for the case’s revival.
In response, Fox News has petitioned to transfer the case to federal court, dismissing the lawsuit as “meritless.” The company stressed that the images were swiftly removed following a letter received in April 2024.
The series at the center of the dispute featured Hunter Biden, a public figure with a felony conviction, in a fictionalized “mock trial” that presented imaginary charges unrelated to his actual legal challenges.
