Google’s Gemini Now Available as Dedicated iPhone App

Read Time:50 Second

Google has expanded its AI offerings with a new standalone Gemini application for iPhone users. Initially available in five markets – the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, India, and Philippines – this dedicated app represents a significant upgrade from the previous integration within the Google app.

A key highlight is the Gemini Live feature, which integrates with iPhone’s Dynamic Island and Lock Screen, enabling users to engage with the AI assistant without actively keeping the app open.

While the app is free to download, users can access premium features through a Gemini Advanced subscription, available as part of the Google One AI Premium plan for $19 monthly.

The app supports devices running iOS 16 and above, including older models like the iPhone 8 and iPhone X. This release comes amid reports of potential collaboration discussions between Apple and Google regarding AI integration, suggesting broader AI implementation across platforms.

The launch provides iPhone users with a robust AI assistant option while Apple continues developing its own AI capabilities.
