French Police Intercept Migrant Boat With Knife and Pepper Spray.

In a stunning turn of events near Dunkirk, French police apprehended a group of migrants attempting to cross the Channel into Britain. Officers used a knife to puncture the inflatable boat, preventing the departure of dozens of migrants.

The incident occurred at Gravelines Beach, where police used pepper spray to disperse the migrants, who had ditched their life jackets in disappointment as their boat deflated.

This event follows a tragedy in which five migrants, including a seven-year-old child, were killed when attempting a similar crossing earlier this week. Authorities have accused two persons with immigration violations in connection with these fatalities, and a third has been released on bail pending further investigation.

The interception coincides with the passage of the contentious Rwanda Bill in Britain, which allows for the repatriation of asylum seekers who enter Rwanda without permission. The Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, believes that this regulation will dissuade future attempts at the risky Channel crossing.

In response to critics, the Rwandan government has declared that it is eager to take deported migrants from Britain and encourages bilateral collaboration.
