Petrol prices are continuing to decline for the second week in a row, providing some comfort to drivers in Florida at the pump. The average price of a gallon of standard petroleum in Florida decreased to $3.30 on Monday from $3.44 last week, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA).
The state’s average fuel price has increased by almost 1 cent this month compared to previous, despite the recent decline. Florida’s petrol prices have varied dramatically during the last year, peaking at $3.76 a gallon on August 7, 2023, and falling to a low of $2.81 on December 18, 2023.
When comparing statistics from year to year, it was found that just a year ago, the average petrol price in Florida was 4% higher at $3.43 per gallon. Florida’s petrol costs are now 5.1% less than the national average, which was $3.47 per gallon last week, thanks to this recent decline. The average price of petrol dropped somewhat nationwide from $3.50 per gallon the previous week.
Florida residents can find some solace in the present declining trend in petrol costs, even if they will still vary. Keep checking back for more information on petrol prices and other economic factors.
