The Inkey List is expanding significantly beyond its well-known facial skincare line, and its recent foray into body care is creating ripples. Co-founders Colette Laxton and Mark Curry today announced the arrival of two innovative products: an exfoliating body stick ($18) and body cream ($14), respectively.

On April 16, these cutting-edge products will make their debut exclusively on the Sephora app. On April 17, they will be available on the Sephora website, and on April 19, they will be available in Sephora stores.

The Inkey List’s entry into the body care industry has been years in the planning; according to Laxton, the first product samples were received in 2019. The skincare business is seeing significant growth during the moment of this strategic expansion, with prestige skincare expected to expand by 14% by 2023.

Curry claims that the growth represents a change in the brand’s launch strategy toward producing fewer but more significant products. “The key thing about brand awareness is about being famous for your heroes and not just for launching new products,” he said, underscoring the significance of this concept.

The brand’s distinctive ingredient-first philosophy is applied to the formulation of the new products, which emphasize chemical exfoliation to meet the particular requirements of body skin. Inspired by the brand’s facial skincare hero, the PHA Exfoliating and Hydrating Body Water Cream contains 3% polyhydroxy acid for a mild exfoliation and hydration.

The Inkey List presents the Glycolic Acid Exfoliating Body Stick, which effectively exfoliates areas of concern including cracked elbows and keratosis pilaris. It contains 7% glycolic acid, 0.5 salicylic acid, and 10% shea butter.
