Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has issued a stark warning, stating that Ukraine’s entire frontline defense could collapse if he were to deactivate the Starlink satellite communication system. Musk described Starlink as the “backbone” of Ukraine’s military operations, emphasizing its critical role in maintaining communication amid the ongoing conflict with Russia.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Musk expressed his frustration over the prolonged war, calling it a “stalemate” that Ukraine cannot win. He stated, “Their entire front line would collapse if I turned it off. What I am sickened by is years of slaughter in a stalemate that Ukraine will inevitably lose.” Musk also reiterated his desire for peace, urging an end to the “meat grinder” of war.
This statement comes after Musk accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of wanting a “forever war” with Russia. On March 3, Musk wrote on X, “Zelensky wants a forever war, a never-ending graft meat grinder. This is evil.” These comments have sparked controversy, with many questioning Musk’s role in the conflict and his influence over Ukraine’s military capabilities.
Meanwhile, President Zelenskyy has emphasized Ukraine’s commitment to peace, stating that his government is working closely with international partners, including the U.S. and Saudi Arabia, to accelerate negotiations and strengthen security. Trump urged both nations to “get to the table right now, before it is too late.”
