Philadelphia, Pennsylvania The 7400 Roosevelt Apartments in Northeast Philadelphia suffered significant damage to its four-story structure and forced the evacuation of numerous inhabitants due to a severe fire. Around 140 firemen responded quickly to the Thursday night fire, which was reported just before 9:30 p.m., and they battled the flames for almost three hours.
According to City Fire Commissioner Jeffrey Thompson, the event took several hours to contain and resulted in minor injuries to three people. In order to address any hot spots that persisted, firefighters monitored the site into Friday morning.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire in order to pinpoint its source. About fifty residents have been forced to relocate, and many of them are getting emergency assistance from the American Red Cross in the form of food and other necessities.
The complete amount of the damage has not yet been determined, although the 7400 Roosevelt Apartments contained around 200 apartments. At this point, the authorities have not disclosed any additional information about the residents who were hurt.
