The southern United States is also feeling the effects, with freezing temperatures extending as far south as Texas and Florida. Sub-zero wind chills are expected in parts of the Tennessee Valley, marking an unusually severe cold spell for the region.
Rare Winter Storm to Hit Gulf Coast
A rare winter storm is set to impact the Gulf Coast, bringing snow and ice across northern Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.
