Apple is set to unveil its latest iPhone SE model as early as next week, with sales expected to begin later this month, according to Bloomberg. The new budget-friendly iPhone will mark a significant design shift, ditching the iconic home button for a modern, notch-style display.
The upcoming iPhone SE is rumored to feature a USB-C port, aligning with the European Union’s mandate for universal charging. This change comes after Apple halted sales of the 2022 iPhone SE and iPhone 14 in the region due to non-compliance with the new regulations.
Leaks from Twitter user “Majin Bu” suggest the device will sport a camera notch, a departure from Apple’s recent Dynamic Island design. Additionally, the new iPhone SE is expected to debut Apple’s in-house cellular modem, replacing Qualcomm chips, and could include Face ID and Apple Intelligence powered by the A18 processor.
Unlike previous launches, Apple may skip a formal event and simply list the device on its website. The 2022 iPhone SE launched at $429, but the updated model, with its advanced features, is likely to come with a higher price tag.
