Aaron Rodgers Joins Elite NFL History Club
Aaron Rodgers, the legendary four-time NFL MVP, achieved a significant career milestone on Sunday by throwing his 500th touchdown pass during the New York Jets’ 32-20 victory over the Miami Dolphins. The milestone moment came when Rodgers found tight end Tyler Conklin in the end zone, bringing his Jets tally to 25 touchdowns, in addition to the 475 he recorded with the Green Bay Packers.
At 41 years old, Rodgers becomes only the fifth quarterback in NFL history to reach 500 touchdown passes, joining iconic names like Tom Brady (649), Drew Brees (571), Peyton Manning (539), and Brett Favre (508). Interestingly, all five quarterbacks, along with Philip Rivers, were part of the 2010 Pro Bowl roster.
Rodgers showcased his brilliance in the game, completing 23 of 36 passes for 274 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception. This stellar performance highlighted the player the Jets had hoped for when they signed him. However, his time with the team has been marked by challenges, including a torn Achilles in his debut season and a disappointing 4-12 record this year.
Despite being under contract for 2025, Rodgers’ future with the Jets remains unclear. Reports suggest the quarterback is keen on returning, while the franchise appears less committed to continuing the partnership.
If this turns out to be his final appearance for the Jets, Rodgers leaves having secured his place among the NFL’s greatest quarterbacks. Fans and experts alike now eagerly await the next chapter of his remarkable career.
