Isaac Tan’s LinkedIn profile was updated recently, which has caused a commotion. Currently listed on his profile as a “unannounced Assassin’s Creed project” is Isaac Tan, Lead Cinematic Designer at Ubisoft Singapore. Tan has reportedly been working on this project since 2023, which corresponds with the timeline provided in other claims on the rumored Black Flag remake. Tan’s professional background includes parts in Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Skull and Bones, which lends credence to the rumors.

The jigsaw pieces are gradually coming together, even if the rumors have not yet been verified. It looks like a wise strategic move for Ubisoft to assemble a team of experts from Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Skull and Bones for this unidentified project. While Mirage marks a return to the stealth combat focus found in previous Assassin’s Creed titles, Skull & Bones, which was originally intended to be a Black Flag expansion, maintains thematic connections with that game.
