Taiwan Reports Chinese Aircraft and Ships Nearby

Taiwan detected Chinese military activity near its territory early Sunday. As of 6 a.m. (UTC+8), the Ministry of National Defense reported spotting one People’s Liberation Army (PLA) aircraft, eight People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) vessels, and one official Chinese ship operating around the island.

The PLA aircraft crossed the median line into Taiwan’s southeastern Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ), prompting Taiwan to monitor the situation closely.

In a statement on ‘X,’ the defense ministry confirmed the presence of Chinese forces and assured that necessary measures had been taken.

With China increasing its military maneuvers near Taiwan, tensions remain high. Taiwan continues to stay alert, reinforcing its security and regional stability amid growing geopolitical concerns.
