A youngster tragically lost their life in a terrifying occurrence in Darlington, leading to the arrests and the current inquiry. Around 9:00 am on Friday, authorities responded to a distress call at Frosterley Drive, which is located just off Haughton Road. As the incident developed, emergency vehicles were parked along the residential street.
Paramedics arrived quickly to take the kid to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle. Durham Constabulary has verified the child’s tragic death despite efforts to save his life. There is currently a great deal of attention focused on the incident’s circumstances.
A forty-year-old lady has been placed under arrest on suspicion of seriously hurting or permitting a child to suffer harm. A man in his 30s has also been arrested on suspicion of murder and is facing the same charge. While investigations are ongoing, both people are still being held by the police.
Following the tragedy, the youngster was struggling for their life, which is why the Great North Air Ambulance Service and the North East Ambulance Service were called in. Despite everyone’s best attempts to deliver emergency medical assistance, a dismal conclusion was reached.
A sombre update was provided on Saturday by a Durham Constabulary spokesperson, who said, “Two people have been arrested following an incident in the Darlington area yesterday (January 12).” Around nine in the morning, police were called to an address close to Haughton Road in Darlington.
