The highly anticipated Civilization VII is set to make its virtual reality debut this spring, exclusively on Meta Quest 3 and 3S. This marks the first time the iconic strategy franchise will be playable in VR, offering fans a fresh way to build empires and lead civilizations.
Developed by Firaxis Games and published by 2K, the VR port allows players to seamlessly switch between virtual and mixed reality modes. In VR, players will explore an ornate museum with personalized leader vistas, while mixed reality integrates the game’s Command Table into the player’s physical space. The Archives, a dedicated room showcasing gameplay achievements, adds an immersive touch with detailed dioramas.
While an exact release date and price remain under wraps, the game is already available for wishlisting on the Meta Horizon Store. Civilization VII launched for Advanced Access on PC and consoles recently, with its full release scheduled for February 11.
