X Resumes Service in Brazil After Five-Week Suspension

Read Time:29 Second

Elon Musk’s social media platform, X, is now back online in Brazil following a five-week suspension. The platform was taken down due to a legal battle with Brazilian authorities over the refusal to block specific accounts. Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes lifted the suspension after X fulfilled the court’s demands.

The issue arose when X initially refused to block certain accounts, resulting in nearly $5 million in fines and the freezing of Starlink’s Brazilian bank accounts. X eventually complied to avoid additional consequences.

The platform’s return restores access to millions of Brazilian users.
