Read Time:42 Second

On Saturday, Frontier Airlines Flight 1326 from San Diego executed an unscheduled landing at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas after the crew reported smoke in the cockpit. The Airbus 321 touched down safely at 4:20 p.m. local time, with no injuries among passengers or crew.

Footage circulating on social media platforms showed flames and dense smoke emanating from the aircraft’s undercarriage near the landing gear during its descent. Upon landing, Clark County Fire Department personnel swiftly responded, dousing the flames as the plane came to a halt.

All individuals aboard were safely evacuated via airstairs and escorted to the terminal. The incident prompted a temporary ground stop at the airport, which remained in effect until 7 p.m.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
