YouTube has added a new AI-powered tool to help artists fix channels that have been hacked and keep them safe from future attacks. The “hacked channel assistant,” which was announced today on Google’s YouTube support page, makes it easier for users to fix problems and keep their accounts safe.
The assistant can be found in the YouTube Help Centre. It walks “eligible creators” through a number of questions to get back in and remove any changes hackers made that were not intended. After that, the tool helps protect the Google account linked to the channel so that no one else can get in without permission.
At the moment, the tool is only offered to a few creators in English. But Google is trying to make it available to all YouTube users. YouTube is always working to make accounts safer and give artists the tools they need to keep their channels safe from cyber threats. This new help tool is part of those efforts.
