Pasha Kovalev, the star of Strictly Come Dancing, has responded to claims that the royal couple would be attending Barista: The Musical, a new production that he is choreographing, amid the mounting speculation.
The stage production gives viewers a lively look into the rhythms, sounds, and romance of Colombia. It makes its stage show debut at a theater in Horsham, West Sussex. Through dance and song, the musical captures the vibrant culture of Colombia while telling a love story set in the coffee-growing nation. The three-time finalist and winner of Strictly Come Dancing Pasha thinks the Sussexes will “love” the program.
Pasha: “It will be loved by them”
In an interview with Express.co.uk, Pasha expressed his love for the show and made a suggestion that, if their schedules permit, Meghan and Harry may visit. He said, “The show is for everyone. It will transport you around the world and away from real everyday life for two and a half hours, making you forget about everything else that bothers you.”
Barista, which has a lot of Latin and modern dance moves, seems to be a captivating show. Pasha said with assurance, “If they have time to come, I’m sure they will love it – but it’s directed at everyone regardless.”
Pasha said that Barista would capture the spirit of Colombia, a place renowned for its lively culture, when Meghan and Harry are now touring the country—minus the possible hazards of traveling to the politically dangerous nation. He talked about his own travels to Colombia and how his time there influenced the music and choreography of the show.

From his Strictly career, when his choreography had to fit inside the confines of a weekly dance competition, Pasha has defined Barista as a singular and daring move. With his attention now entirely on stage choreography, Pasha has seized the chance to explore new artistic frontiers. “It’s unlike anything Strictly fans have ever seen from me,” he remarked.
With a group full of seasoned dancers, Pasha has been able to produce routines that are more ambitious and technically demanding. He hinted that Barista would have “passion, fire, and Latin rhythms” and that the choreography would be significantly more challenging than it was on Strictly.
Sara Bartos’s portrayal of Isabella Sanchez will be followed by audiences as she negotiates betrayal and love in her romantic narrative. “A girl meets a boy, they fall in love, but in order to have their happily ever after, they have to overcome a lot of obstacles and a certain barrier,” Pasha said.
Celebrities Anticipated to Participate
In addition to the speculation around Meghan and Harry’s potential visit, Pasha revealed that other celebrities have shown interest in going to the premiere. He disclosed, “A few celebrities have expressed that they would be interested in attending and will make an effort to do so,” albeit he did not disclose their identities at this time.
