In an effort to strengthen Israel’s defenses against Iran and its allies, the White House announced increased defensive military deployments on Thursday. A transcript of a phone conversation between Vice President Kamala Harris and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, which included President Biden, disclosed this development.
The presidents talked about ways to assist Israel in fending off threats from Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis in Yemen during the discussion. According to the statement, “the President discussed efforts to support Israel’s defense against threats, including against drones and ballistic missiles, as well as new defensive U.S. military deployments.”
The President Biden placed emphasis on the continuous attempts to defuse the rising tensions in the area. Hezbollah and Israel have been at war for several weeks, with both sides trading airstrikes.
Prime Minister Netanyahu issued a dire warning to aggressors on Thursday after Israel successfully targeted senior Hamas and Hezbollah leaders. Netanyahu declared, “Israel is in a very high state of readiness for any scenario—on both defense and offense.” “Any act of aggression against us, from anywhere, will come at a very high price,”
