Highlights of the Convention and Vice Candidates
Other notable politicians that were contemplated for the vice presidential candidacy were Senator Marco Rubio of Florida and Governor Doug Burgum of North Dakota. The RNC, which is being held in the Fiserv Forum venue, is the first comprehensive convention for presidential nominations since 2016. There will be multiple presentations, policy debates, and strategic planning sessions during the event, which is scheduled to end on Thursday.
Post-Attack Security Concerns
Trump is making his first appearance at the convention since the Butler, Pennsylvania, incident, in which he was forced to leave the stage abruptly after an attempted attack. As a result, to ensure everyone’s safety, the Secret Service has examined and bolstered the convention’s security protocols.
