Workers at Red Rocks Claim to Have Seen a UFO in the Night Sky Above Known Colorado Concert Hall

Read Time:3 Minute, 35 Second

Twelve workers at the renowned Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, made the startling discovery that earlier this month they had seen an enigmatic object light up the night sky. This sighting has generated curiosity and conjecture, as confirmed by the National UFO Reporting Center’s documentation.

A Personal Meeting at Red Rocks

When workers at the renowned performance venue were wrapping up their shifts on June 5 at about one in the morning, they observed an odd occurrence. They saw a black metallic disk hovering north of the amphitheater, based on their comprehensive reports. The object, which was estimated to be several hundred feet long, stood still for around thirty seconds before slowly moving eastward at a pace of five to ten miles per hour and finally vanishes from view.

A witness described what they saw when they immediately realized what was there: “One of our colleagues shouted to us, ‘Hey, what’s that over there? It seems to be a spacecraft. He gestured for us to look, and sure enough, a UFO was floating in that direction. We were asking each other all the time, ‘Are you seeing this too?'”

An in-depth account of the UFO

The craft, according to the staff, was a “large disc-shaped object” with “three levels of windows,” about the size of a three-story warehouse. Amazingly, the UFO was silent while it was there. The item shifted gently eastward as the group focused all of their concentration on it, then vanished.

“It didn’t take off in all directions. It just vanished into thin air. We all saw it go,” the witness said. “This wasn’t an aircraft. It was not a drone, satellite, or anything like. This was clearly identifiable as such.”

Colorado UFO Sightings and Other Reports

Colorado is the 12th state with the most UFO reports, with 3,320 occurrences registered by the National UFO Reporting Center. Colorado has a noteworthy history of UFO sightings. The state is just behind the lead with 3,587 sightings, Oregon. The top states with the greatest number of UFO encounters as of June 28, 2024, are as follows:

• California - 16,394 sightings
• Florida - 8,380 sightings
• Washington - 7,281 sightings
• Texas - 6,262 sightings
• New York - 5,954 sightings
• Pennsylvania - 5,078 sightings
• Arizona - 5,056 sightings
• Ohio - 4,494 sightings
• Illinois - 4,321 sightings
• North Carolina - 3,715 sightings

Typical UFO Types

The majority of UFO claims, according to Peter Davenport, the center’s director since 1994, center on indistinguishable lights in the sky. Circles, ovals, triangles, diamonds, orbs, disks, flashes, and fireballs are just a few examples of the many shapes and sizes that may be described.

As a commercial pilot, Davenport showed a special interest in airline pilot reports, believing them to be accurate and trustworthy sources of information when faced with inexplicable phenomena.

The Scientific View on UFOs

There is still a lack of scientific proof that UFOs have extraterrestrial origins, despite a wealth of sightings and eyewitness stories. NASA’s Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena Independent Study Team released a 36-page study in September, but it found no evidence to support the theory that UFOs are alien in origin. The paper did concede that there are still certain unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs) that cannot be explained.

NASA has appointed a new director of UAP research, whose identity has been kept private, and is becoming increasingly involved in the investigation of these encounters.

UFOs and Congressional Interest

Rekindled interest in UFOs has also been shown by the US government. Three former military members testified about their UFO sightings in a July congressional hearing. Among them was former Navy pilot Commander David Fravor, who made headlines in 2004 when he claimed to have seen a Tic Tac-shaped object off the coast of Southern California. He said it was “perfectly white, smooth, no windows,” and that it could do flying maneuvers that are beyond the present state of technology.

The latest sighting at Red Rocks Amphitheater brings the number of unexplained aerial phenomena seen in the US to an increasing number. The public and scientific sectors are still fascinated by the enigma surrounding UFOs, and there is still a persistent hunt for conclusive solutions. For the time being, Red Rocks staff will never forget the night they saw something remarkable in the Colorado sky.
