Walmart is putting health first as summer approaches with its upcoming Wellness Day, which is scheduled for Saturday, May 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Customers can receive free health exams at this event, including blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, and BMI assessments. Furthermore, pharmacies around the country will offer reasonably priced vaccinations against COVID-19, shingles, tetanus, measles, and other diseases. Walmart’s mission to promote healthy living through easily available healthcare services is in line with this strategy.
Walmart Wellness Day is intended to provide families with the tools and resources they need to prioritize their health. Across the nation, over 4,600 Walmart pharmacies will take part and offer a variety of services. Additionally, a few locations will provide wellness product demos, in-store prizes, and vision examinations.
Among the crucial services offered at the event are:
- Free health checks available at certain sites, including blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, BMI, and vision.
- Inexpensive immunizations: COVID-19, hepatitis A and B, varicella (chicken pox/shingles), whooping cough (TDAP), measles, mumps, pneumonia, tetanus, HPV, and more.
- Resources for Well-Being: Chances to speak with pharmacists and use other medical resources.
“Our pharmacies are pillars in the communities they serve, and Wellness Day creates wonderful opportunities to deepen those connections while also offering impactful services like free screenings and affordable immunizations,” said Kevin Host, senior vice president of pharmacy at Walmart.com, emphasizing the role Walmart pharmacies play in the community. We’ll keep developing and operating through our vision centers and pharmacies to make sure we’re doing everything we can to make people’s summers better, healthier, and more affordable.
Walmart Wellness Days were launched in 2014 and have since given over 5 million free health tests. In many regions, Walmart often acts as the major healthcare provider because it has more than 4,000 stores in medically underdeveloped areas.
Make sure you and your family have a healthier summer by putting Saturday, May 18, on your calendar and taking advantage of the free and reasonably priced health services offered at Walmart Wellness Day.
