Fire Started by Merging Collision on I-95 Overpass

According to state police, a terrifying collision on I-95 in Norwalk today resulted in a destructive overpass fire. Authorities claim that a Chevrolet Camaro LT tried to merge onto I-95 north, setting off a disastrous series of events that resulted in the collision.

The front end of a tanker truck owned by Standard Petroleum Company and the Camaro collided in the right lane. The tanker was propelled into the left center lane by the incident, where it collided with a tractor-trailer. Sadly, the impact started a fierce fire under the Fairfield Avenue bridge.
