Theft victim apprehended at a Walgreens in New Mexico after being pursued by police on horses

Police in New Mexico used their horseback riding skills to catch a shoplifter outside a Walgreens store after a spectacular pursuit. The event was caught on camera by the Albuquerque police bodycam. It started with a dark-brown horse charging through the parking lot toward a man wearing black clothes.

The shoplifter tried to get away, but the horse cop caught up to him quickly, and they got into a fight on the street. When more mounted police officers showed up and essentially boxed in the guy, things got heated.

Then, an Albuquerque Police Department report states, one of the officers dismounted and handcuffed the man, who is now being charged for allegedly stealing $230 worth of products from the Walgreens store.
