Tragic Event Befalls Norfolk Family: All Four Found Dead with Serious Injuries in Years

Read Time:1 Minute, 18 Second

Police in Norfolk have verified that all four of the family members who were found dead in a Costessey property had injuries, which is a surprising and devastating discovery. The victims are from the same family and include two young daughters, a 45-year-old man, and a 36-year-old woman.

According to Norfolk Police Detective Chief Inspector Chris Burgess, the woman was a guest and did not live at the Allan Bedford Crescent residence permanently, but the guy and two children did.

A concerned member of the public called authorities just before 7 am on Friday, alerting them to the sad scene. The sombre finding was made by police who had broken into the property on December 14, 2023, in order to investigate a missing person’s report.

Every victim will have a post-mortem examination to ascertain the cause of death. Although the investigation is still underway, Detective Burgess stressed that they currently think the event is isolated.

Detective Chief Inspector Burgess said, “We will have increased patrols in the area throughout the weekend. I recognise the shock and upset this incident will cause in the local community.” He advised the public to use caution while posting on social media and to avoid spreading rumours that can impede the ongoing inquiry.

Detectives from the police departments in Norfolk and Suffolk have cordoned off the property and are in charge of the investigation. It is anticipated that police will continue to be present in the area while they investigate the circumstances leading up to this unfortunate incident.
